The heart is a very important part of our body. The heart helps to cleanse and pump fresh blood into the body. A healthy heart is an important part of any living being. When the heart malfunctions, it becomes difficult to manage life. So it is necessary to keep your heart healthy. World Heart Day is being celebrated on 29th September every year. The focus is on a healthy heart, improved heart treatments, and taking care of the heart. Its main motive is to make people aware of heart diseases and to control coronary artery diseases and reduce the mortality rate due to heart issues. Around 30 percent of deaths in the whole world are due to heart-related diseases. The most common form is silent heart attacks which are taking the lives of numerous people throughout the globe.
We can call it silent heart attacks but these are not always so silent, No prior history of coronary artery disease
Silent heart attacks are also called Silent Myocardial Infarction(SMI). Various studies have shown that silent heart attacks are not always silent. They have some pre-symptoms which we often ignore. That can be-
Heaviness in the chest or chest discomfort
Nausea or vomiting/acidity-like feeling
Shortness of breath
Dizziness with perspiration
Pain in left shoulder and jaw
People often ignore these minor symptoms treating them as normal which in the long run damages the heart muscles, People recognize it later after the problem becomes grave. The symptoms are so mild but damage the heart slowly.
Preventive measures for a healthy heart
It is a necessity as well as the responsibility to keep our hearts healthy. There are some preventive measures for a healthy heart that you must adapt to as there is no such alternative or shortcut to a healthy heart. The most important ones are as follows-
Healthy life style-Our unhealthy routine, lifestyle and eat-outs, and late eatings are responsible for coronary artery disease. Our heart cleanses and pumps fresh blood in the body. But unhealthy lifestyle prevents it and burdens the heart. So make a proper timetable of the daily chores and eating and sleeping pattern. It will help to keep the heart healthy in the long run.
Heart check-ups and medical measures– In some cases the heart diseases are hereditary. They pass from generation to generation. In this case, you need to be extra alert and focus on regular health checkups. To manage cardiac risk medications help a lot. Obesity also needs to be in control as more fat in your body creates a build-up and makes the arteries clogged. Diabetes also needs to be in control. According to a study, people who are suffering from diabetes don’t feel much pain or discomfort before any heart attack that means it is a more silent attack in diabetic patients. So you need to be extra cautious.

Breathing exercises help to get the blood purified through extra oxygen. breathing exercises and other yoga and meditations prove helpful in ensuring proper flow of blood in the body. Good sleep-Insomnia is associated with heart diseases. When your sleep pattern disturbs it affects the heart. According to various studies, it is found that most of the people who are suffering from insomnia are more prone to heart ailments. The body, mind as well as heart can’t function properly when we don’t get sufficient 8-10 hours of sleep. The body, mind, and heart are relaxed and recover with good sleep. So make a proper sleep schedule. Keep your sleeping space calm and read some books if you feel difficulty sleeping, go to bed when you fell asleep, and drink some hot cup of milk with turmeric and cinnamon added for good sleep. Cinnamon also helps to make the blood thin and giving relaxed sleep.
Never ignore the minor symptoms-Your body gives alarm when you feel unusual. Never ignore such alarms or minor symptoms. Consult a physician whenever you feel any minor symptoms too. If detected early heart ailments never grow and never become the reason for heart failure.
